When thinking of the hardest thing for me to relate to it would definitely be #4 confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner. I tend to think others have the better idea, others can do it. I feel at times like a follower and though there is no problem being a follower and we need followers there is a small part of me that screams out be the leader today. You are just a smart and you are just as talented. It depends on the day. I can be a follower today and tomorrow your leader.

Thing # 1- 7 and a Half Habits of Life Long Learners
The easiest one for me to relate to was teaching or mentoring others, giving back. I have taught for the past 22 years in the education so it is hard for me to remember a time I was not teaching someone or mentoring someone. But I know once I was in this position then I knew it was for me. The giving back part is something my parents always instilled in my sisters and I. My parents were very interested in the community and making it better and so as they volunteered at activities they would take us along. Instilling a sense of not only accomplishment through helping others but also a sense of belonging and team building with others.

Although I did not list it as my hardest, I am the same way when it comes to comparing me to others. I always think their ideas are better than mine, work is better quality, all around harder on myself. I know it is hard, but my nephew and niece, who are 8 and 4 repectively, finally taught me to view my work as competent. If they can believe in me, then I should too!
